The Position

Understands and effectively conducts laboratory experiments utilizing established internal and existing literature procedures with supervision. Remains current in organic synthesis.

Prepares scales up and purifies new compounds and known compounds for in vitro and in vivo evaluation. Ensures availability of all experimental materials. Maintains an accurate and current lab notebook and analytical data according; record all necessary information.

Has basic working knowledge of reaction databases. Understands and is responsible for the proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Fully characterizes synthesized molecules.

Shares information about results and status of work in an accurate timely and proactive manner within lab team.

Understands infrastructure of chemistry department and neighboring disciplines and knows whom to contact to find solutions.

Maintains a safe and organized work environment. Complies with relevant SOPs.

Master or PhD candidates in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry of university or research institute
