Position Summary
St. Marys Nativity School is seeking a faith-filled dedicated and knowledgeable Middle School Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will foster academic excellence uphold Catholic values and create a supportive classroom environment that encourages students to grow intellectually spiritually socially and emotionally. This position may include teaching one or more middle school subject areas within the grades 68 based on school needs and candidate qualifications.Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging standards-based instruction for middle school students.
- Create a positive structured and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with families regarding performance and growth.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into daily instruction.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school goals and student success.
- Support and participate in school liturgies prayer experiences and Catholic mission activities.
- Maintain accurate records lesson plans grades and attendance.
- Model Christian values and professionalism in all interactions.
- Participate in faculty meetings professional development and school events as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field required.
- Valid Louisiana teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Prior teaching experience especially in upper elementary or middle school preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to academic excellence and student-centered learning.
- Willingness to support the Catholic identity and mission of the school.
- Practicing Catholic preferred but all qualified candidates committed to the mission are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills
- Experience teaching middle school learners.
- Knowledge of Louisiana state standards and curriculum expectations.
- Ability to teach multiple subject areas or departmentalized content.
- Familiarity with educational technology platforms and data-driven instruction.
