The CCSD Unit at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing support following critical illness cardiac events surgical procedures or complex medical conditions. This fast-paced unit bridges the gap between intensive care and medical-surgical services caring for patients with cardiac respiratory neurological and other high-acuity diagnoses. Nurses on the unit are skilled in cardiac monitoring post-procedural care telemetry interpretation medication management and patient/family education.

How youll contribute

ARegistered Nurse RNwho excels in this role:

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops implements and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

What were looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelors degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
