Teacher Innovations Technology (K-4)

Orchard FarmElementary School is seeking a highly qualified self-motivated student-centered teacher to join our team as the Innovations/Technology Teacher (K-5)!

The successful team member will have an in-depth understanding of the teaching and learning process characterized by a comprehensive repertoire of instructional and assessment strategies. Elementary Education (1-6) certification is required additional certifications addition the successful candidate will have an interest in Computer Science Google applications app inventor software digital design coding robotics 3-D printing digital video creation and any and all programming and curriculum related to grades K-5 computer science. The successful candidate will continue to review the current curriculum and make appropriate recommendations as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree or higher
• Appropriate Missouri Teaching Certificate
• Knowledge of state standards federal and state regulations and law
• Knowledge of subject matter content and assessment strategies
• Knowledge of best practices in curriculumand instruction
• Ability to relate to students staff and parents in a positive manner
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
• Ability to follow written and oral communication
• Ability to problem solve

An individual who holds this position is required to:

• Provide instruction to students
• Create and implement a classroommanagementplan
• Create lesson plans and activities to implement and supplement instruction
• Participate in building grade level and subject area committees
• Participate in professional development activities
• Maintain accurate student records
• Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and/or other educational concerns
• Participate as a member of an IEP team 504 team or other student assistance teams as requested
• Implement special educational plans such as 504 plans individual educational programs and individual health plans
• Report suspected abuse neglect discrimination and harassments as directed by Board policy
• Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher
• Subject area teachers may have additional duties and responsibilities
