Job Summary
The Quality Technician will be based Buffalo Grove IL reporting to the Quality Supervisor.
The potential candidate will be responsible for performing product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs first article inspections and calibration inspecting flat blank layouts out of box audit (OBA) and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. Purge material. Ensures raw materials in process and finished products meet company standards. General documentations updated (Quality alerts).
6am-6pm Rotating Shift
Responsibilities:
- Perform dosimetry measurements and daily dose lab activities (releasing pairing delivery of dose trays report generation cleaning).
- Conduct microbiological testing including bioburden endotoxin and media assessments.
- Perform environmental monitoring using viable air samplers and other advanced lab equipment.
- May be required to assist with Corrective Action investigations.
- Has the ability to address environmental excursions that occur in controlled environments.
- Has the ability to identify escalate and investigate alert/OOS results related but not limited to dosimetry microbial testing and environmental monitoring.
- Can create and maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Good handwriting required.
- Has strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to move between tasks efficiently.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Has basic computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office applications required. Familiarity with laboratory information management system (LIMS) a plus.
- Has ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure. Will be required to use whole numbers common fractions decimals and percentages.
- Can read and comprehend moderately complex procedures and work instructions.
- Has the ability to think critically troubleshoot problems and interpret test data independently
- Having knowledge of GLP GMP USP ISO and other regulatory standards is a plus.
- This person will work under minimal supervision once fully trained.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent technical training or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience i.e. microbiology
