We are currently seeking afull-timeSubstance Abuse Counselorto join our team at CoalingaState Hospitallocated in Coalinga CA.
Monday- Friday 8am - 4:30pm
$30.00 per hour medical dental and vision
The Addiction/Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for coordinating all substance abuse/addiction program activities in a correctional setting to include providing intake assessment treatment planning and group and individual counseling.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; bachelors degree in a human services or related field preferred
Must have Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or be actively working toward attaining a substance use credential within two (2) years of hire
May substitute higher education for experience but must hold a four-year college degree and possess a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Ability to pass and maintain a security background clearance
