Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator
Location: Grand Prairie TX
Pay: $17$20 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Safety & QA Coordinator to support our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team. This role is critical in maintaining compliance managing documentation supporting audits and ensuring food safety and quality standards are consistently met across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage food safety and quality documentation (electronic and physical)
- Track document versions and ensure proper document control procedures
- Support internal and third-party audits (GFSI FDA OSHA etc.)
- Conduct inspections testing and quality checks on incoming products
- Assist with food safety sanitation and compliance programs
- Review daily quality records identify trends and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain logs (hold logs training logs compliance records etc.)
- Support investigations related to customer complaints and incidents
- Coordinate QC sanitation and related operational activities
- Manage supplies and support general QA/QC operations
- Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED (associate or bachelors degree is a plus)
- At least 2 years of administrative document control or process management experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in food safety QA/QC or regulated environments
- Knowledge of compliance standards (GFSI FDA FSMA etc.)
- Experience with document control systems and auditing processes
Work Environment
- Office and warehouse setting (climate-controlled)
- Frequent computer work walking and occasional lifting
- May require extended hours as needed
