Job Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support a busy surgical services department in West Hollywood CA. The ideal candidate will ensure proper cleaning sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment contributing to safe efficient and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Decontaminate clean and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
Inspect instruments for cleanliness functionality and defects
Assemble and package surgical instrument trays per facility standards
Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (e.g. autoclaves)
Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and logs
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Monitor sterile supply inventory and assist with restocking/orders
Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions promptly
Follow hospital policies and regulatory standards for sterile processing
Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure instrument readiness
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience
Active certification required: CBSPD or HSPA (IAHCSMM)
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards
Prior experience in a hospital or surgical environment
Must have prior travel experience (no first-time travelers)
Availability to work night shifts and weekend schedule (TuesdaySaturday)
Active certification must be valid at the time of submission (no pending credentials)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical setting
