About the opportunity
We are currently seeking a Part Time Laundry/ Housekeeper to join our Accommodation Services team at our Moran Engadine home. This role will assist the facility in maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the residence with a strong focus on minimising health risks and maximising safety.
We provide a team orientated and enjoyable work environment with modern facilities and the equipment and resources needed to excel in your role. We also offer aged care focused training to help you succeed in the position. If you are a resilient and resourceful individual with passion to improve our residents daily life this role is for you!
You will be backed and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. You will work with a great team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents enjoyment of their life every day.
Key Duties:
- Safely collect handle and sort linen and clothing
- Ensure all laundry is processed according to required standards
- Maintain a clean organised and safe laundry environment including workspaces and storage areas
- Operate laundry equipment and machinery in accordance with training and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members contributing to a positive and respectful workplace culture
- Assist with coordinating and distribution of daily tasks to ensure smooth operations
Skills/Requirements:
- Dedicated to providing a high standard of care and service
- Ability to work in a team and work well with your colleagues
- Valid working visa
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- CurrentInfluenza and COVID-19 vaccination including booster
- Highly organised with strong planning skills.
