What the role involves: You will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes by delivering high-quality evidence-based nutrition care. Your expertise will support personalised nutrition planning patient education and collaborative care within multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities:
Assess patients nutritional needs and develop individualised care plans
Provide nutrition education and counselling to patients and families
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain contemporary knowledge of nutrition and dietetics best practice
What were looking for: We are seeking an experienced Grade 2 Dietitian to join our weekday dietetics service on a part time (0.4) this role you will work independently and apply specialist-level clinical knowledge across key areas including critical care (ICU) and gastrointestinal surgery.
You are a passionate and experienced Dietitian with strong clinical expertise and a patient-centred approach. You communicate effectively work well autonomously and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
You must have:
Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in an acute or sub-acute healthcare setting
Masters degree in Dietetics
Demonstrated ability to consult and collaborate with others and work as an effective member of a team
Demonstrated experience in ICU and gastrointestinal surgery
Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
Leadership experience within a specialised clinical area
Strong commitment to evidence-based practice innovation and ongoing professional development
Experience in student supervision (clinical placements)
