The Role

The school is seeking an English Teacher who can inspire a love of language and literature while helping students develop the confidence to express themselves clearly and thoughtfully.

You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. Whether exploring classic texts developing analytical writing or encouraging lively classroom discussion you will play an important part in helping students grow as readers writers and thinkers.

This role would suit someone who brings energy to the classroom values strong relationships with students and enjoys making English meaningful and engaging.

What Youll Be Doing

• Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 available depending on experience

• Planning engaging lessons that challenge support and inspire students

• Helping pupils prepare confidently for assessments and examinations

• Encouraging a love of reading writing and discussion

• Giving clear feedback that helps students make progress

• Tracking attainment and adapting teaching where needed

• Contributing to curriculum development within the English department

• Supporting enrichment activities such as reading clubs drama debating or creative writing

• Playing an active role in the wider life of the school including pastoral care and extracurricular opportunities
