About the Role
You will be responsible for teaching Design Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 guiding students through the design process from initial ideas to finished products. Lessons will include a mixture of design theory and practical workshop activities.
The role will involve preparing students for GCSE Design Technology assessments and supporting them as they develop knowledge of materials tools and safe working practices.
You will work within a collaborative department that shares resources and supports consistent teaching across year groups.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach core design principles and practical workshop skills
Guide students through design and manufacturing projects
Prepare students for GCSE coursework and assessments
Maintain safe and organised workshop environments
Monitor student progress and provide feedback
Support departmental planning and resource preparation
Promote safe and responsible use of tools and equipment

Essential Requirements
