You will teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering lessons that combine practical performance listening skills and music theory. Students are encouraged to develop their understanding of different musical styles while building confidence in performance and composition.

You will work as part of a collaborative department that supports consistent teaching and shared resources.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
Deliver lessons covering performance composition and theory
Support students in developing practical musical skills
Prepare students for GCSE Music assessments where required
Organise and support rehearsals and performance opportunities
Monitor student progress and maintain assessment records
Maintain music equipment and classroom resources
Encourage participation in musical activities across the school

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Music at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Music
Confidence supporting student performance activities
Good classroom management skills
Strong organisational and communication skills
Desirable
Ability to support extracurricular music activities
Experience preparing students for GCSE Music
