We are seeking a dedicated and inspirational Science Teacher to join a high-achieving Roman Catholic Faith Academy. The Department & Ethos
You will join a science faculty that is central to the schools mission of seeking truth through study where the curriculum explores the biological chemical and physical laws of the universe.
The department follows a rigorous inquiry-based approach encouraging students to see the beauty and order in the cosmos while mastering the technical requirements of the national curriculum.

Core Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Teaching General Science at Key Stage 3 and your specialist discipline (Biology Chemistry or Physics) at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) emphasizing the ethical implications of scientific advancement.
Faith Integration: Supporting the academys ethos by participating in the liturgical life of the school and encouraging students to reflect on the moral and spiritual dimensions of scientific discovery.
Practical Leadership: Planning and executing safe engaging practical lessons in modern laboratories ensuring students develop the hands-on skills required for the Required Practicals.
Diagnostic Assessment: Using data-driven insights to identify student misconceptions and providing targeted feedback that helps every learner reach their potential.
STEM Enrichment: Leading extracurricular activities such as Science Club or sustainability projects that reflect the schools commitment to stewardship of the environment.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a practitioner who combines academic excellence with a commitment to the holistic development of young people. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a core Science discipline.
Respect for Ethos: A willingness to support and contribute to the Catholic life of the school.
Technical Proficiency: A firm grasp of the secondary science curriculum and a commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory safety (CLEAPSS).
Instructional Clarity: The ability to explain abstract conceptsfrom the origins of the universe to the complexity of the human genomewith enthusiasm and clarity.
