About the Role

You will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering lessons in Biology Chemistry and Physics. The role includes a balance of theoretical teaching and practical laboratory work designed to support student understanding and engagement.

You will contribute to preparing students for GCSE Science examinations and help them develop confidence in both written and practical assessments.

There may also be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 Science depending on experience and departmental need.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science across KS3 and KS4

• Deliver content across Biology Chemistry and Physics

• Plan and supervise practical experiments safely

• Prepare students for GCSE Science examinations

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

• Maintain safe laboratory environments

• Work collaboratively within the Science department

• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 effectively

• Strong classroom management skills

• Good organisational skills

Desirable

• Science specialism in Biology Chemistry or Physics

• Experience supporting GCSE Science preparation

• Experience teaching KS5 Science
