Our client is seeking an ambitious Head of History to join their academic leadership team this September. This role is designed for a scholar-practitioner who can inspire both staff and students ensuring that History remains a flagship subject within the humanities. You will be responsible for the quality of teaching and learning across all Key Stages including a robust A-Level provision that focuses on diverse periods from the Tudor monarchy to 20th-century global conflicts.

As Head of Department you will mentor a team of subject specialists oversee the implementation of a rigorous evidence-based curriculum and use data-driven insights to ensure every student reaches their potential. The department is exceptionally well-resourced with an expansive departmental library digital archives and a significant budget for immersive excursions to local heritage sites and international battlefields.
