Head of Physical Education to lead a high-performing and expansive department
Full-time permanent leadership role September start
Our client is seeking an inspirational Head of PE to join their senior middle management team this September. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance the demands of high-performance competitive sport with an inclusive sport for all philosophy. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of the PE curriculum across all Key Stages including the delivery of GCSE PE and A-Level Physical Education/BTEC Sport.
As Head of Department you will manage a large team of specialized coaches and academic teachers overseeing a vast fixture list that competes at a national level in rugby netball hockey and cricket. The department is exceptionally well-resourced featuring a multi-million-pound sports hub professional-grade fitness suites all-weather pitches and an indoor swimming complex.

Experience and Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a specialist degree in Physical Education or Sports Science.
Proven leadership experience within a secondary school PE department.
Experience in managing complex logistics including fixture lists and transport.
A track record of delivering high academic results in PE at Key Stages 4 and 5.
