About BYD Auto Hungary

On 22 December 2023 BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged Hungary which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have experience in both 3PL (Party A) and 4PL (Party B) logistics with a solid understanding of logistics supplier management and end-to-end logistics operations supported by proven successful cases. Able to lead a team to ensure smooth logistics operations proactively identify and resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

• Communicate internally with Chinese KD business colleagues to understand booking and shipping dynamics of sales orders in China.

• Coordinate with shipping lines freight forwarders and customs clearance agents; monitor cargo arrival at European ports; manage the handover of bills of lading and related documents; prepare customs clearance documentation (using the GTS system); track T1 transit and customs clearance processes; and oversee end-to-end logistics for goods delivered to the Szeged factory.

• Monitor operational quality on a weekly and monthly basis and perform data analysis.

• Manage shipping companies and freight forwarders; analyze operational performance data; and communicate with partners to resolve operational issues (e.g. through weekly and monthly meetings).

• Be responsible for collecting organizing and processing logistics-related expenses (TMS).

• Follow up on departmental projects coordinate internal resources and ensure projects are delivered on time according to plan.

• Perform other tasks assigned by the manager.
  

Skills Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Experience in import and export operations.

• Familiar with customs declaration and inspection procedures for sea air and land transportation including FCL LCL and bulk cargo with a solid understanding of port operations.

• Experience in project management and workforce efficiency optimization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); able to communicate directly with Chinese colleagues.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.
