Field Manager Security and Fire Systems

A strong understanding of various systems and equipment including but not limited to alarms surveillance cameras and fire protection devices is crucial for this role. Additionally maintaining up-to-date knowledge on industry standards and technological advancements is essential to provide clients with the best possible service.
Primary Location: On-site and Field: An essential responsibility of the Field Manager is to actively engage with field installation and service technicians at job sites. The manager conducts on-site visits to ensure compliance with company standards and established protocols verifying that all installations and service adhere to company specifications.
Additionally the manager provides constructive feedback to the technician for continuous improvement. The managers presence on-site underscores the commitment to excellence and illustrates a proactive role in fostering the technicians success.
Field responsibilities (3 days per week):
Perform field visits 3 days a week 2 job sites per day
Provide day-to-day field supervision of the field technicians
Perform pre-installation site visits as necessary.
Ensures quality standards for professional appearance conduct installation and excellent customer service are met
Monitor and evaluate technician performance while in the field providing feedback coaching and training as needed to enhance skills and improve efficiency.
Facilitate the onboarding mentoring and training of new technicians within their first 30 days of employment
Office responsibilities (2 days per week):
Coordinate daily activities with the installation team service coordinators and contractors
Ensure accurate recording technicians time documenting issues and communicating with management
Reviews each installation work order packet for completeness and understanding scheduling with customers
Develop installation package and review each work order with the technician assigned.
Provides supervision for both the in-house technicians and contractors
Coordinate bi-weekly Backlog meetings with Sales management and Inventory keeping them informed on all aspects of the installation.
Ensure installations are on schedule and within budget per workorder
Maintaining Company procedures policies and compliance with Work Standards
Generates daily/weekly installation and technician reports
Monitor and evaluate technician performance providing feedback coaching and training as needed to enhance skills and improve efficiency.
Implement and oversee safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Prepare and submit detailed project reports including status updates challenges encountered and solutions implemented.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of necessary materials and equipment.
Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss project progress address concerns and align objectives.
Education and Experience:
3-5 years experience in supervising field resources and training team members
Knowledge of CCTV Access Systems DMP Honeywell Bosch Hochiki fire systems a plus!
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational and time management skills
Understanding of burglar and fire alarm systems as well as basic electricity
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members and leadership
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints safety rules technical instructions and procedure manuals.
Proven experience in customer service role.
Ability to travel and work in the field - Valid drivers license a must
