Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and self-driven Mechanical Engineer to manage end-to-end engineering projects within the marine industry. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical design manufacturing processes and project execution with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Independently manage end-to-end engineering projects for marine industry applications
- Design and develop a wide range of marine products including metal components towers flooring systems and board racks
- Develop and maintain project schedules monitor milestones and track vendor performance
- Collaborate with suppliers customers leadership and cross-functional engineering teams
- Prepare product cost estimates manufacturing plans and production requirements
- Lead project reviews approvals and technical discussions with stakeholders
- Support prototype development pre-production builds and sample validation with proper documentation
- Perform mechanical design CAD modeling and creation of detailed engineering drawings
- Apply GD&T standards and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering change processes
- Provide hands-on support in manufacturing and process engineering activities
- Drive process selection tooling and fixture design and DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) analysis
- Contribute to business case development customer interactions and growth initiatives
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/ in Mechanical Engineering)
- Proven experience in mechanical design and product development
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools and engineering drawing standards
- Working knowledge of GD&T BOM management and engineering change control
- Experience in manufacturing processes tooling and DFMA principles
- Excellent project management and coordination skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in the marine industry or related domains
- Exposure to prototype development and production support
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
