Warehouse Operative - Depot: Greater Manchester - Reporting to: Floor Manager

United Wholesale Grocers Limited was founded in 1977 by Mr. Mohammed Ramzan. The company has over 200 employees with a turnover in excess of 220 million. We have 3 have branches 2 in Glasgow and 1 at Gateshead in the North East of England and we are about to open a new branch in the Greater Manchester area. We are primarily a Cash & Carry Wholesale business with a wide product portfolio consisting of Beers Wines Spirits Soft Drinks Confectionary Crisps and Snacks Household and Grocery.

Responsibilities:

Merchandising

Stock replenishment following correct procedures

Taking responsibility for the zone that you work in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained

Supporting other departments as required

Answering Customer Queries

Skills Required:

Excellent work ethic is required as well as punctuality and reliability
Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good time management as you will be working at speed
Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
Able to work quickly and to deadlines
Confidence using handheld computerised tills and barcode scanners
Excellent customer service skills
