About the job

The Senior Rotating Equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides advanced technical expertise governance and reliability leadership across all Nouryon Specialty Chemicals sites in the Americas region. This role ensures safe reliable and cost-effective operation of critical rotating assets and supports Maintenance Operations and Engineering teams through expert guidance and troubleshooting.

In your future role as Senior Rotating Equipment SME you will

• Serve as regional authority for rotating equipment (pumps compressors blowers turbines gearboxes mechanical seals).
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for complex or high-impact equipment issues.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and ensure long-term corrective action implementation.
• Develop and standardize rotating equipment maintenance strategies aligned with Nouryon standards and industry best practices.
• Support capital projects in equipment selection design review and commissioning.
• Mentor site engineers technicians and maintenance personnel to strengthen regional capability.
• Promote knowledge sharing and alignment with Nouryons global maintenance and reliability processes

We believe you bring

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 10 years of experience with rotating equipment in chemical petrochemical or other heavy industrial environments.
• Strong expertise in vibration analysis predictive maintenance and equipment failure analysis.
• Deep knowledge of API ISO ANSI ASME and related technical standards.

Certifications (Required or Strongly Preferred)

• Vibration Analyst Category II or III (ISO 184362).
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
• Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
• RCFA methodology certification (Apollo TapRooT or similar).

Preferred Certifications

• Machinery Lubrication (MLA or MLT).
• Reliability Leader Certification (CRL).
• PMP Certification.
• Mechanical seal technical training (OEM-certified).
