Purpose and Objective:

SAP Labs LLCseeks aSenior AI Scientistat ourBellevue WAlocationresponsiblefordevelopmentof new Machine Learning models and optimization of existing ML models.

Expectations and Tasks:

Understand and responsible for the implementation of the most recent machine learningalgorithmand approaches. Ensure performance and system scalability through initiatinganfostering continuous collaboration with development teams. Work through business problems from beginning to end. Understand research insights and adequate concepts for SAPs customers. Lead small project teams. Collect requirements andcoordinates the machinelearning relevance of implemented systems and achieved results in a visual and consistent way across levels. Show initiative and explore new use cases and applications of machine learning.

Education andOccupational Experience:

Bachelorsdegree or foreign equivalent inComputer Science Software Engineering Mathematicsor a related field of studyandsix (6)years ofprogressive post-baccalaureateexperience in the job offered or related occupation.Alternatively aMastersdegree or foreign equivalent inComputer Science Software Engineering Mathematicsor a related field of studyandfour (4)years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and CompetenciesExperience:

Experience must includethree (3)years involving each ofthe following:

Utilizing graphs for large scale machine learning application;

Developing graph-based ML models includingGraphSAGE GAT or Graph Transformers;

Cloud-based ML development platforms including AWS and Azure;

Big data processing frameworks and relational data processing tools including Spark MYSQL HIVE and Hadoop;

Legacy tabular models including development and deployment;

LLM and Generative AI framework including LLM-fine-tune and RAG; and

NLP applications.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is$196914- $216128.SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step towarddemonstratingSAPs commitment to pay equity. SAPprovidesthe annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is$196914- $245600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skills experience scope of the role location etc. asdeterminedthrough the selection process.
