The Opportunity

Join the Worldline Test Competence Centre as an Application Engineer where youll play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and robustness of our electronic payment systems. Youll simulate thousands of transactions from Belgian cardholders across e-commerce and point-of-sale terminals working with cutting-edge testing technology to maintain the highest quality standards for our global payment solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Execute performance and robustness non-regression test scenarios using advanced simulators and injectors
• Monitor and administer Linux servers to ensure system reliability and availability
• Collaborate closely with development teams to identify and resolve performance issues
• Report on test results and ensure performance targets are met for each new release
• Analyse system degradations with System Engineers Database Administrators and Development Teams
• Create and maintain scripts using bash python and other programming languages
• Provide technical expertise during high-pressure situations including incidents and releases

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change step up and show whats next people with passion can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and practice this means:

Higher education in information technology or 2-3 years of experience in software testing

Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems and SQL databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL)

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java (17) C Python or TypeScript

Experience with Spring Boot framework and Git version control

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with outstanding attention to detail

Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken)

Ability to work autonomously whilst collaborating effectively in team environments

Knowledge of ISO 8583 standards would be advantageous
