Purpose and Objective:

SAP America Scientist Senior Managerat ourBellevueWAlocationtobe responsiblefordevelopmentofnew Machine Learning models and optimization of existing ML models.

Expectations and Tasks:

Manage an AI Science unit by continuously adapting the units focus and execution capabilities to customer/market needs companystrategyand financialobjectives. Set direction by buildinga clear visionstrategyand business plan for the unit andcontributeto overall strategy. Responsible for building a high-performanceorganization andensure direct reports do the same. Constantly push complex frontiers of what is possiblein the area ofmachine learning working with real data. Responsible for a strategyofthe implementation of the most recent machine learning algorithms and approaches for an important product/LoB. Responsible for translating research insights into adequate concepts for critical SAPs customers. Lead important project teams such as collecting requirements andcoordinatethe machine learning development. Report regularly to senior executive steering committees and/or external reviewers andadvisethem in terms of strategic Data Science topics.

Education andOccupational Experience:

Bachelorsdegree or foreign equivalent inComputer Science Computer Engineering Data Science Machine/Deep Learningor a related field of studyandten (10)years ofprogressive post-baccalaureateexperience in the job offered or related occupation.AlternativelyaMastersdegree or foreign equivalent inComputer Science Computer Engineering Data Science Machine/Deep Learningor a related field of studyandeight (8)years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and CompetenciesExperience:

Experience must includeeight (8)years involving each ofthe following:

Productionizing Deep Learning Technology;

Business Applications Artificial Intelligence Expert;

Machine Learning (ML) and Data Mining;

Building analytics and insights capabilities; and

ML engineering capabilities.

Experience must include two (2) years involving each of the following:

Managing over 100 () indirect reports.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is$250370- $415425.SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step towarddemonstratingSAPs commitment to pay equity. SAPprovidesthe annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is$325800- $553900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skills experience scope of the role location etc. asdeterminedthrough the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollaramountand any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
