Job Summary
As a Storeroom Supervisor at our Grand Rapids MI plant youll play a critical role in ensuring maintenance and production teams have the right parts at the right time to keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong planning skills with handson execution in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. Your work will directly support plant reliability cost control and overall operational performance.
Youll join a collaborative safetyfocused plant team that values humility learning and shared accountability for results. Partnering closely with Maintenance Operations Engineering QA/Food Safety and Finance youll help drive continuous improvement across storeroom and inventory processes. This is an onsite role based at our Grand Rapids manufacturing facility with daily visibility and impact on plant operations.
A Taste of What Youll Be Doing
- Spare Parts & Inventory Management Maintain an effective MRO spare parts and inventory system within budgetary constraints using SAP and related tools to support production continuity reduce downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Inventory Accuracy & Controls Conduct physical inventories identify obsolete or excess materials resolve variances and initiate corrective actions to ensure accurate inventory records and cost control.
- Purchasing & Financial Compliance Release parts and supplies approve invoices manage GR/IR and blocked invoice reconciliation provide daily departmental cost reporting and maintain required documentation in alignment with company policies and authorization limits.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration Partner with Maintenance Operations Engineering QA/Food Safety and the Plant Controller to support purchasing processes reporting accuracy and policy compliance as well as maintaining daily interactions with vendors.
- Team Leadership & Safety Focus Manage Storeroom Associates while promoting people safety food safety KPI achievement CI and 5S standards.
Were Looking for Someone With
- High School Diploma or GED with handson experience supporting maintenance storeroom or inventory operations in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using SAP or other maintenance planning or inventory management systems
- Strong working knowledge of MRO maintenance inventory and reliability processes
- Proven ability to lead motivate train and achieve results through others
- Experience managing inventory budgets purchasing processes and vendor interactions
Compensation
The annual salary range is $75400 - $98910 which is based on various factors such as location experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
