Resilience Advisor Emergency Planning
Job Summary
This role would suit someone with experience in emergency planning business continuity or resilience who is motivated by work that has real impact on people services and communities. You will be comfortable working across a large complex organisation supporting services to understand risk plan for disruption and continually improve their preparedness. You will be organised adaptable and able to remain calm and focused when priorities shift including during live incidents.
You are likely to be someone who:
- Has a good understanding of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the role of local authorities as Category 1 responders
- Has experience supporting emergency planning and/or business continuity activity ideally within the public sector
- Enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues and partners and can build effective working relationships
- Is confident facilitating workshops training sessions exercises or debriefs and supporting learning and improvement
- Can analyse information identify gaps or risks and help translate learning into practical improvements
- Is willing to take part in an outofhours emergency response rota and provide professional resilience advice during incidents
