Job Summary
The Opportunity
Adobe Real-Time CDP enables enterprises to unify customer data acrossevery source resolve identity at scale and activate audiences in real timeacross any channel. The platform processes billions of events enforces datagovernance across complex enterprise hierarchies and powers thepersonalization layer for some of the worlds largest brands.
You will join one of our Frontier AI Pods a small cross-functional teamwith full ownership that delivers end-to-end capabilities and features askedby regional EMEA customers.
This is not a maintenance role. The capabilities are delivered fast tocustomers and your Pod iterates in making sure adoption is guaranteed.
What Youll Build
Distributed services and event-driven pipelines that process real-timecustomer data at enterprise scale
Secure data collaboration capabilities the infrastructure that allowsorganizations to connect share and activate data across partnerecosystems without compromising governance
Workflow orchestration services coordinating cross-system flows acrossAEP RTCDP and external data platforms
Reliable observable APIs consumed by multiple Adobe products andenterprise integrations
Production systems with defined SLOs you own services from designthrough live operation
What Success Looks Like
We hire for demonstrated delivery not credential accumulation. Strong candidates will show:
Correctness as a design instinct you build distributed systemswhere data integrity idempotency and audit trails are first-classconcerns not retrofits
Production ownership a track record of shipping services thatoperate at scale degrade gracefully and recover without humanintervention
Customer-to-capability translation you move fluently between whata customer needs and what the system must do collapsing the gapbetween requirement and working platform feature
AI-augmented execution you use AI-assisted development tools(Claude Code Cursor GitHub Copilot or equivalent) as a standard partof how you design build and review code
System-level thinking you understand not only how distributedsystems work but why the tradeoffs you made were the right ones forthe context
Typical background: 8 years building Java-based systems in production. What matters is what that experience has produced not the number of years.

Your Stack
Java / JVM - Primary language for platform services
Kafka - Event-driven architectures and real-timepipelines

Snowflake - Modern cloud data platform integration
AWS / Azure - Cloud infrastructure and managed services
Temporal - Workflow orchestration
Prometheus Grafana Splunk - Observability and production monitoring
Nice to Have
Experience with data governance privacy-preserving computation orsecure data collaboration patterns
Background in distributed data platforms (Delta Lake Iceberg or similar)
Familiarity with identity resolution or customer data unification systems
Contributions to architecture decisions or mentoring of engineers inprevious roles
