Highway Design Lead

• Leading the design team in the preparation of designs technical reports contract plans and documents required for the delivery of the Ministry of Transportations multi-year highway construction program.
• Monitoring overall work progress and technical performance on projects to ensure timelines and targets are being met.
• Providing mentorship technical guidance support and oversight to other engineers and technical staff working on your projects.
• Ensuring that corporate and client QA/QC practices are completed on all projects.
• Maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders;
• Coordinating with clients approval agencies utility companies contractors etc.
• Preparing proposals project work plans schedules and budgets.
• Ensuring adherence to design standards policies and procedures.
• Mentoring and developing junior design staff.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and . designation required. 
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in highway design and project management. 
• Proven ability to lead design teams and prepare technical reports and contract documents. 
• Proficient in highway design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation). 
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and design standards. 
• Experience preparing project budgets schedules and proposals. 
• Skilled in mentoring junior staff and managing client relationships. 
• Effective at coordinating with stakeholders agencies and contractors. 
• Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
• Experience with Ministry of Transportation projects is an asset.
