Minimum Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e. High School diploma; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).
Previous material handling experience is required
Must have relevant experience operating a Forklift which can be gained from the following sources:
Recent work experience within the last five years which included assignments involving forklift operation as a significant part of the job OR
Successful completion within the last two years of an accredited forklift training course pursuant to the requirements set forth in 29 CFR 1910.178 Powered industrial trucks
Good physical condition and able to perform the manual lifting requirements of the Materials Clerk job
Ability to read write perform basic mathematical calculations and understand written and oral job instructions
Ability to follow written procedures step-by-step
Ability to learn and operate an automated inventory tracking and material accountability system or other computer systems
Ability to perform basic computers operations
Candidate selection consists of skills assessment interview and medical screening
Successful candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a commercial drivers license (CDL) with a H (HAZMAT) endorsement and forklift license during the probationary period
Successfully complete job-specific training qualification requirements and pass written exam during the probationary period
Successful applicants may be required to work rotating shifts
Must be able to obtain and maintain HRP;as part of the HRP Program candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR 709; medical requirements may apply
