About the role
We are seeking an exceptional leader to join us as Director of Adult Social Care. This pivotal role is responsible for leading high-quality person-centred operational services that work with adults to enable them to live fulfilling independent lives.
As Director you will provide strategic and senior operational leadership across a large portfolio of services. You will provide visible and engaged leadership to a diverse workforce of skilled professionals who are strongly committed to strengths-based working co-production and best practice. You will build on and develop our ways of working driving continuous improvement and excellent practice.
About you
We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a strong track record in leadership of large scale social care services. You will:
- Provide values-driven leadership across our services
- Inspire our workforce supporting professional development and excellent practice
- Lead and drive effective service delivery productivity quality and financial sustainability
- Champion co-production and embed the values and practice of co-production into operations
- Champion equalities diversity and inclusion for our staff our services and the people we support and ensure EDI continues to be embedded into operations
- Ensure statutory duties are met with a strong focus on quality and improvement
- Build effective relationships within the council and with partners
- Be curious caring creative collaborative and committed to Barnets values
