Job Summary
Job Summary
Set up operate or tend glue station soldering or brazing machines for metal products components or assemblies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Turn and press knobs and buttons or enter operating instructions into welding machines.25%
Set upoperate or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.20%
Load or feed work pieces into welding machines to join or bond components.10%
Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.5%
Inspect measure or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring and testing devices.20%
Record operational information on specified production reports.3%
Read blueprints work orders or production schedules todetermineproduct or job instructions or specifications.2%
Assemble align and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond heat-treat or solder fabricated metal components.10%
Other duties as assigned by Supervision.5%
Education and Experience Profile
High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience.
Required Skills
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic mathmatical and mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction from other team members.
Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
