Environmental Services Director – Hospital EVS Housekeeping Operations

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager Environmental Services (EVS / Hospital Custodial Operations) to lead onsite housekeeping operations at a major healthcare facility in Grand Forks North Dakota.

This leadership role oversees hospital cleaning sanitation infection control support and environmental services teams ensuring a safe clean and high-quality environment for patients staff and visitors.

You will provide strategic leadership manage daily operations and drive client satisfaction compliance and operational excellence across all Environmental Services functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage hospital Environmental Services / custodial operations
• Ensure a safe clean and infection-free healthcare environment
• Drive patient and client satisfaction scores
• Supervise and develop EVS leadership and frontline teams
• Oversee staffing scheduling and daily operational performance
• Manage budgets cost control and financial performance
• Ensure compliance with infection control safety and regulatory standards
• Partner with hospital leadership Infection Control and Environment of Care teams
• Manage vendors contracts and facility service projects
• Implement performance metrics QA/QI programs and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• 5 years of management experience
• 35 years of director-level Environmental Services / Housekeeping leadership
• Healthcare or hospital EVS experience strongly preferred
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• Strong leadership communication and team development skills
• Experience in budget management vendor oversight or contract administration
• Ability to analyze data and drive operational improvements

Preferred Experience:

• Hospital or healthcare EVS leadership
• Infection prevention or hospital safety collaboration
• Union or labor relations experience
• Large-scale facility or multi-team management
