Southern Glazers offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $25.35 / determining a final offer the company will evaluate a specific candidates education skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

This role does not require a CDL license to be hired and will be going through training to obtain CDL Distribution Driver Helper is responsible for assisting delivery drivers with assigned route delivery functions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver products as invoiced to specified licensed retailers
• Check-in invoiced orders with customers in a friendly courteous manner
• Collect and return all payments as required
• Account for all invoices of merchandise delivered and merchandise returned
• Collect empty boxes to be used for redelivery as needed
• Ensure delivery logs are completed as required
• Ensure check-in procedures are followed daily
• Attend monthly safety meetings
• Take only safety courses and other classes as needed
• Report all moving violations to management
• Drive equipment in a professional and safe manner as needed within licensing requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 years of experience
• Must obtain Class A or B Commercial Drivers License
• Experience in a warehousing environment
• Knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions
• Excellent interpersonal customer service analytical/problem solving problem management presentation development presentation and communications skills

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking bending reaching standing squatting and stooping
• Must be able to frequently lift lower push carry or pull up to 48pounds
• Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift pallet jacks and battery change stations
• Work may involve repetitive motions working at varying heights and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions
• Extended hours overtime weekends and peakseason schedules may be required
