Shape design across a multi-product cloud platform used by millions

Were hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our design team during a period of strategic shift. Object Storage is the loudest current priority and will be your initial focus but youll also pick up work across our consumer and business products as the team and roadmap take shape over the coming months.

Product and Design are being invested in under a new CPO. This role adds senior UX capacity to the team and helps shape how we design for our users as the company grows.

What youll do

• Lead UX end-to-end on Object Storage across both the developer experience and the management console.

• Spend real time with users. Run research and usability testing and turn what you learn into clear product direction.

• Facilitate workshops and apply design thinking to align teams frame problems and move from ambiguity to direction.

• Bring a strong UX point of view into product and engineering conversations shaping not just screens but the problems we choose to solve.

• Partner with our existing designers on a shared direction for UX and contribute across our consumer Business and partner products as the roadmap shifts.

• Use AI actively in your workflow for research exploration and prototyping and help the team get more out of it.

Is this you

UX craft

• Youre a senior product designer with a strong UX foundation: user research information architecture interaction design and usability.

• Youre comfortable owning UX for a product end-to-end from discovery through to shipped work.

• You run design thinking workshops with confidence and use them to align stakeholders frame problems and generate ideas as a team.

• You prototype to think and can communicate ideas quickly through flows sketches and working prototypes.

Product thinking

• You see the whole picture and bring a clear point of view with the presence to stand behind it.

• Youve shipped across B2B and B2C and move comfortably between technical business and consumer audiences.

• You bring commercial awareness to UX decisions and understand how UX shapes adoption retention and the business.

Ways of working

• Youre AI-native. You use AI fluently in your design work and are curious about how a team can get more out of it.

• Youre direct low-ego and high-ownership and comfortable in spaces that are still taking shape.
  

Bonus points

• Experience designing for technical or developer-facing products (cloud infrastructure storage

• APIs).

• Comfort working across desktop web and mobile form factors.

• Background in consumer cloud storage backup photos or adjacent spaces.
