Senior Mechanical Engineer Switchgear
Responsibilities
- Design & Development:Lead the creation of detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings for customlow-voltageswitchboard assemblies including complex busbar routing and component integration.
- Technical Leadership:Provide high-level design direction for customer review drawings whilementoring and leadinga team of junior mechanical engineers to ensure technical accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Act as a core member of the technical project team optimizing designs for electrical systems circuit breakers and wiring to meet both consumer needs and manufacturing constraints.
- Education & Experience:BSEE or BSME with5 yearsof dedicated design experience in custom electrical enclosures switchgear or panel boards.
- Technical Proficiency:Mastery of3D CAD software(e.g. Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks) and a deep understanding of electrical system components.
- Industry Knowledge:Proven expertise inLow Voltagesystems (Medium Voltage experience is a major plus) and working knowledge ofUL 891 UL 1558 or UL 67standards.
- Problem Solving:Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in a fast-paced environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
