Job Description
Seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer(SQE) Consultant to support our application quality efforts through strong test automation practices. This role will focus on designing developing and maintaining automated test solutions with a primary emphasis on Selenium using Java.The ideal candidate is a hands-on tester who can work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate closely with product owners developers and other QA team members. Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright is a strong plus.
What Youll Do
- Design develop execute and maintain automated test scripts in Selenium/Java
- Analyze requirements to ensure adequate test coverage
- Perform functional regression integration smoke and sanity testing
- Collaborate with developers to identify reproduce and troubleshoot defects
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning stand-ups reviews retrospectives)
- Contribute to test strategy planning and test case design
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test suites
- Execute tests from GitLab pipelines; report on results and quality metrics
- Communicate test progress risks and defects clearly and on time
What Were Looking For
- 5 years as a Software Quality or Test Automation Engineer
- Strong hands-on Selenium/Java experience
- Solid grasp of testing concepts methodologies and best practices
- Ability to write clean maintainable reusable automated test code
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
- Able to work independently while collaborating across functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile/Scrum development experience
- Playwright test automation experience (hands-on or exposure)
- Postman API testing experience (hands-on or exposure)
- Experience testing web-based applications and APIs
- IntelliJ IDE for Java test development
- Git or other version control systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
