Position Summary
This Nurse Manager I position oversees the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory with responsibility for managing nursing services patient care delivery and operational excellence in a 24/7 environment. The role encompasses staff leadership and development compliance management quality improvement initiatives and collaboration across the healthcare continuum to ensure safe standardized patient care.
Must-Haves
Strong Cath Lab leadership experience
Minimum three (3) years of experience in patient care delivery
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) AND minimum three (3) years of experience in business operations clinical health care or a directly related field
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports
Registered Nurse License (Oregon) required at hire
Provide developmental opportunities for staff; build collaborative cross-functional relationships and drive performance improvement
Lead organizational change implementation and stay current with best practices and industry trends
Manage designated work unit by translating business plans into tactical action items and ensuring policy compliance
Manage hospital administrative functions including recruitment selection performance feedback labor relations training and development and quality/risk management
Lead survey readiness activities including mock rounds and audit documentation to maintain compliance and regulatory standards
Assist in development and management of department budget expenditures and payroll
Manage care delivery operations in a 24/7 environment including complex work streams and strategic initiatives
Monitor resources and ensure appropriate assignment and utilization
Manage multidisciplinary hospital teams and hold them accountable for performance
Implement emergency preparedness programs and ensure staff training and readiness
Monitor and guide continuous improvement of quality and safety of clinical practices and operations
Hold staff accountable for maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including Nursing Practice Act and The Joint Commission standards
