Position Summary

This Nurse Manager I position oversees the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory with responsibility for managing nursing services patient care delivery and operational excellence in a 24/7 environment. The role encompasses staff leadership and development compliance management quality improvement initiatives and collaboration across the healthcare continuum to ensure safe standardized patient care.

Must-Haves

  • Strong Cath Lab leadership experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in patient care delivery
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) AND minimum three (3) years of experience in business operations clinical health care or a directly related field
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports
  • Registered Nurse License (Oregon) required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
  • Cath Lab experience (cardiac catheterization laboratory)

Primary Functions

  • Provide developmental opportunities for staff; build collaborative cross-functional relationships and drive performance improvement
  • Lead organizational change implementation and stay current with best practices and industry trends
  • Manage designated work unit by translating business plans into tactical action items and ensuring policy compliance
  • Manage hospital administrative functions including recruitment selection performance feedback labor relations training and development and quality/risk management
  • Lead survey readiness activities including mock rounds and audit documentation to maintain compliance and regulatory standards
  • Assist in development and management of department budget expenditures and payroll
  • Manage care delivery operations in a 24/7 environment including complex work streams and strategic initiatives
  • Monitor resources and ensure appropriate assignment and utilization
  • Manage multidisciplinary hospital teams and hold them accountable for performance
  • Implement emergency preparedness programs and ensure staff training and readiness
  • Monitor and guide continuous improvement of quality and safety of clinical practices and operations
  • Hold staff accountable for maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including Nursing Practice Act and The Joint Commission standards
