Electrician

Position Summary

Responsible for installing repairing wiring for manufacturing equipment as well as provide preventative maintenance associated with electrical issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install maintain modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment in regards to manufacturing.
• Remain in compliance with current National Electrical Code.
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems including transformers transfer switches and switch gears.
• Complete work orders and record material utilized on job.
• Run conduit pull wires/cables and wire termination.
• Run computer cables connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation.
• Utilize blue prints wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
• Survey electrical systems circuits and plans.
• Understand and troubleshoot PLC.
• Assist with preventative maintenance as assigned.

• High school diploma GED or equivalent

• Mechanical mindset
• 5 years experience in similar role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear concise reports that are understandable by the target audience
• Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate them when appropriate
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to draft clear and detailed manufacturing procedures
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
• Time management skills
• Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint) and Dropbox

Language Skills:

• Ability to read write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred

• This position works in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to adapt to the noise level of a manufacturing setting which is usually moderate to heavy.

• The temperature will vary from hot to cold depending on the weather.
