Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Freight Agent / Freight Broker with an existing book of business who can generate and manage freight opportunities from day one. This role is ideal for a self-starter who understands the full brokerage cycle from prospecting shippers to securing carriers and closing profitable loads.
This is a high-autonomy high-reward role with strong earning potential tied directly to performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow an existing book of business (shippers and/or carriers)
Source negotiate and close freight opportunities across multiple modes (FTL LTL etc.)
Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers
Utilize load boards and internal systems to cover freight efficiently
Negotiate rates to maximize profitability
Coordinate shipments and ensure timely delivery
Resolve issues proactively and maintain high service levels
Continuously prospect and onboard new clients
Requirements (Must-Have)
37 years of freight brokerage / freight agent experience
Proven book of business (portable or active relationships)
Strong understanding of load boards (DAT Truckstop etc.)
Experience working directly with shippers and carriers
Demonstrated ability to generate revenue quickly
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
