Sales Consultant Acute Care
Overview
We are seeking a driven Sales Consultant to manage and grow a portfolio of medical products within the acute care setting. This role is responsible for developing new business expanding existing accounts and driving product adoption across hospital systems.
The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical sales background understands complex hospital dynamics and thrives in a competitive quota-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales quota within a defined territory
- Identify target and convert new business opportunities across hospital accounts
- Manage the full sales cycle including evaluation product trials contracting and implementation
- Maintain and grow existing business through strong account management and customer relationships
- Execute marketing initiatives and support regional/national sales strategies
- Implement and manage contractual agreements within assigned accounts
- Provide consistent reporting on sales performance pipeline activity and market trends
- Partner with distribution channels and internal sales support teams to drive territory success
- Conduct product in-services education and training for clinical and administrative stakeholders

- Nursing Leadership (including CNO-level)
- Intensive Care Units (ICU)
- Emergency Department (ED)
- Medical-Surgical Units
- Infection Prevention
- Supply Chain / Value Analysis Committees
Product Scope
- Medical disposables and capital equipment used in vascular access and related procedures
- Solutions supporting IV access central lines dialysis access and ultrasound-guided procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred
- Minimum 3 years of successful healthcare sales experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a competitive environment
- Strong negotiation presentation and closing skills
- Ability to navigate complex hospital systems and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication interpersonal and analytical skills
- Experience managing large accounts and prioritizing territory opportunities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel within territory (20%)
