SR ACCOUNTANT

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to oversee full-service accounting operations across the organization. This individual will own the day-to-day financial functions while also contributing to strategic financial planning reporting and compliance as the company continues to scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in both execution and analysis ensuring accuracy while driving financial visibility across the business.

This is an on-site local role candidates must be based in the area and available for in-person collaboration.

Compensation & Career Path

Starting Compensation

• Base salary: $75000 $85000 depending on experience
• 10 days PTO
• 10 company observed holidays
• Healthcare stipend

Growth Trajectory

This role is designed with upward mobility in mind. High performers will have the opportunity to advance through the following path:

• Senior Accountant > Accounting Manager > Controller ($90000 into six figures)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting including bookkeeping accounts receivable and general ledger oversight
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy across all financial accounts
• Sort categorize and track expenses to maintain clean and organized financial records
• Process payroll and commissions including generating accurate commission reports
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial close processes and reporting
• Develop budgets forecasts and custom financial reports to support leadership decision-making
• Monitor cash flow financial performance and variances; provide actionable insights
• Manage sales tax filings across multiple U.S. states and ensure ongoing compliance
• Support company registration compliance and tax filings as new state nexus is established
• Oversee accounts receivable including payment plans and collections
• Manage external financing relationships and support funding requirements
• Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies while improving accounting processes and controls

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
• 35 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred

• CPA license or active CPA candidacy
• Experience with HubSpot and Shopify
• Experience in healthcare medical practice or multi-site environments
• Prior experience supporting leadership in a Controller or Finance Manager capacity

Location & Work Arrangement

This is a fully on-site position in North Miami FL. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate prior to start. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.
