Position Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector I performs a variety of routine inspection procedures to ensure quality at various stages of production. Inspects incoming materials inprocess and/or finished parts and subassemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing inspections including incoming/preproduction inprocess final inspection and preshipment inspection.
Conducts dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies in accordance with engineered drawings.
Proficient in using micrometers calipers thread & pin gauges nogo gauges height gauges and angle gauges to verify mechanical part compliance. Measures dimensions such as length height and distance between reference points to ensure product meets specifications.
Compiles data and documents findings; provides information regarding rework/reject data to more experienced personnel for validation.
Writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; reads and interprets written information.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
Familiar with data entry; proficient with Microsoft Office; completes all documentation for receiving inspections.
Completes work in a timely and efficient manner.
Completes training to achieve proficiency in the use of optical metrology systems XRF measuring instruments and associated modules within the companys ERP system.
Must be able to view ITAR data without a license.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Attention to detail and clear communication skills.
Knowledge of IPCA610 IPCJSTD001 preferred.
Knowledge of GD&T desired.
Education Experience and Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
13 years of applicable experience desired.
13 years of previous experience in quality control inspection of electronic devices desirable.
Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment desired.
