Job Summary

Job Title:Electronic Maintenance Technician II

Department:Operations Maintenance

Reports To:Facilities Manager

Job Class:Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Pay Rate:Dependent upon experience

Location:Orlando FL (On-site)

Position Summary:
Performs a variety of plant maintenance duties and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure manufacturing equipment remains operational and that the facility is in good working condition. This role requires a higher level of electronic troubleshooting and repair expertise than the Technician I level.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs all functions of Electronic Maintenance Technician I.

  • Identifies and resolves issues with electronic equipment including printed circuit boards (PCBs) power supplies and various electronic components.

  • Conducts routine and advanced testing of electronic systems and components to ensure proper functionality including incircuit and outofcircuit testing.

  • Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on electronic equipment.

  • Maintains logs and records for related equipment in accordance with departmental guidelines.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of electronics principles design troubleshooting repair and testing procedures.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams.

  • Experience with electrical equipment calibration.

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools including soldering tools.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

  • Detailoriented and organized.

  • Familiar with RF equipment such as network analyzers spectrum analyzers etc.

  • Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and electronic system sections and wiring.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite or related software.

  • Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license.

Education Experience and Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent technical training or experience.

  • 57 years of relevant maintenance experience.

  • Equivalent military experience is acceptable.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift carry push or pull materials up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to bend stoop kneel crouch and reach as required.

  • Ability to safely climb descend and work from ladders stairs and elevated platforms at varying heights.

  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including indoor and outdoor settings temperature variations and mechanical noise.

  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools machine controls and measuring instruments.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • May be required to support weekend facility checks (alternating).
