Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at work sites to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
- Provide safety training and workshops for employees and subcontractors.
- Review and update safety documentation and incident reports ensuring all records are maintained accurately.
- Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to promote a culture of safety.
- Respond to safety concerns and incidents promptly and effectively.
- Stay current with OSHA regulations and safety practices pertinent to the paving industry.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Health or a related field.
- Certification in safety practices (e.g. OSHA Certified Safety Professional) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations applicable to the construction and paving industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety role preferably in the construction or paving industry.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing safety programs and reducing workplace incidents.
- Experience with emergency preparedness and response procedures.
