Sales Ledger Administrator
Location:Longtown
Hours:Monday to Friday 8:30am 5:00pm
Pay rate:up to 30000 p/a
Contract:Permanent
Were working with a well-established family-run business based in Longtown who are looking to add a Sales Ledger Administrator to their finance team. This is a full-time permanent position offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers building relationships and keeping things organised in a busy environment.
The role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm providing a consistent and structured working pattern.
Key responsibilities
- Raising and issuing sales invoices accurately and on time
- Allocating incoming payments to customer accounts
- Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
- Chasing outstanding debt via phone and email in a professional manner
- Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
- Producing aged debtor reports and supporting cash flow management
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate billing
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting
About you
- Previous experience in a sales ledger or accounts receivable role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator comfortable speaking with customers
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
