Contract to hire opportunity
Leadership hands-on technical role
- They will be reporting to a Sr. Manager and candidates should be more Sr technical Lead vs VP or Director level
- The Priority will be their technical coding skills and Knowledge not Managerial Skills. They must be hands on when needed.
- Focus on Backend/Services with experience in working with front end apps
- Experience managing offshore engineering teams and coordinating across time zones
- Hire train mentor and manage one or more Software Engineering teams (5 15 engineers) including onshore and offshore resources
- Conduct code reviews provide technical guidance and drive engineering standards across the team
- Organize technical work break down requirements and guide teams through execution
- 7 years of software development/engineering experience
- 3 years of experience leading engineers and managing engineering teams
- Strong hands-on backend engineering background (Java Spring Boot microservices)
- Solid understanding of Docker/containers and Kubernetes Kustomize
- Proficiency with GitOps workflows and Argo CD
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Strong preference for candidates with backend/middleware/API development background who understand how to build scalable services that power guest-facing front-end experiences
- Big Plus
- Experience developing both web and mobile solutions
- Experience with GraphQL and API gateway architecture (Apigee or equivalent)
- Experience with reactive programming (WebFlux Project Reactor) and non-blocking I/O
