Vehicle Systems Technician Engineer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

We are looking for technicians who can support Vehicle system programs with a focus on Testing diagnostics troubleshooting and general system support. The emphasis is on electrical systems wire harnesses and system-level software rather than traditional mechanical repair. Candidates from automotive aerospace medical devices robotics or similar technical fields are encouraged to apply and automotive experience is not required.

• Proficient with hand tools and electrical test equipment (multimeters continuity testers oscilloscopes power supplies etc.).
• Experience using diagnostic logging flashing or network analysis tools to troubleshoot hardware and software systems
• Ability to read and follow schematics wiring diagrams manuals and technical procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Experience working in a lab or shop environment including tool and inventory management.
• Team player.

Pluses:

• Experience troubleshooting vehicle or embedded system software.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN LIN or Ethernet.
• Experience with sensors calibration or system validation testing.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate on & assemble test platforms - Create the Stuff that enables HW to be utilized in a lab. Including but not limited to - Fixturing wiring cooling.
• Perform hands-on inspection testing and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Read interpret and troubleshoot wire harnesses wiring diagrams schematics and pinouts.
• Capture escalate & diagnose HW & SW issues encountered when commissioning & maintaining test platforms; Use OEM or system-level tools to read diagnostics logs and system status and support root cause analysis.
• Navigate documentation and database systems to locate procedures and record results.
• Support system validation activities and assist with issue resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
