This contract position is on-site providing an excellent opportunity for qualified professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
As a Locum MD in Emergency Medicine you will play a crucial role in managing acute medical conditions providing timely interventions and working collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality emergency care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with acute medical conditions in the emergency department
- Provide immediate medical attention and emergency interventions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Adhere to hospital protocols and best practices in emergency care
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to providing quality patient care
- Experience in a fast-paced emergency medicine environment preferred
- Shifts available at multiple facilities
Schedule: 9 or 12-hour day night or swing shifts
No call required
Annual Patient Volume: based on facility
Support Staff: APPs at most facilities
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
