Role Overview

The Senior Trader is accountable for the commercial performance and execution of grains and oilseeds trading activities in Egypt acting as the primary interface between the local market and Head Office in Geneva.

The Egyptian market is relationshipdriven and executionintensive requiring strong local credibility disciplined commercial judgment and a solid understanding of regional supply chains and global market flows.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial ownership of grains and oilseeds trading activities in Egypt
• Manage and develop longterm relationships with key local customers suppliers and counterparties
• Oversee deal execution contract performance logistics alignment and commercial followup
• Act as the local point of reference for Geneva Head Office on:
• Market positioning
• Supplyanddemand dynamics
• Trade flows and logistical constraints
• Provide structured input on macroeconomic and market developments impacting Egypt including FX environment freight and Suez Canal related disruptions
• Ensure alignment with internal functions (Execution Finance Contract Desk) to support disciplined P&L delivery
• Participate in regional and global trading discussions and valuechain calls

Experience & Profile

• 5 years of relevant seniorlevel experience in physical grains and/or oilseeds trading
• Deep understanding of the Egyptian commodity market including customer behavior and commercial practices
• Established professional reputation and trusted network within the local market
• Experience operating within an international trading organization with European / Swiss interfaces
• Strong command of English and Arabic
• Structured executionfocused mindset with strong commercial judgment
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
